What is the Dashboard?

The dashboard is the user's working space that contains created content such as posters and collections. This content sits in a public gallery or a private gallery.

What is the difference between a Public Gallery and a Private Gallery?

The Public Gallery contains a user's public content such as posters and collections. This content is the same content displayed on a user's public profile. The Private Gallery contains a user's created content such as posters and collections that the user has made private.

*Content can be edited and changed from public to private or vice versa at any point in time.
*The Private Gallery can also contain select shared content.

How to access the Private Gallery

The Private Gallery can be accessed by clicking the drop down arrow on the Dashboard that says "Public Gallery" and selecting to view the "Private Gallery".

Privacy options when creating content

1. Public: Anyone can view this content. It is searchable with search tag keywords. It can be shared via links and social media sites. All public content exists in a user's public gallery and can be seen on a user's profile.

2. Private: No one but the creator of the private content can view it. It cannot be publicly viewed by anyone other than the creator of the content pending they are logged in to their Latigo account at the time they try to view their private content. Private content exists in a user's private gallery and is not displayed publicly on profiles.

3. Select Shared: Select shared content is private content that has been shared to other select Latigo users. This content can only be viewed by the creator of the content and by the users it has been shared to. This content exists in a user's private gallery and is not displayed publicly on profiles. It also exists on a Shared Content page to the user it has been shared with unless the creator chooses to no longer share it with the selected users.

What is Select Shared Content?

Users can select share private content with other select Latigo users. This content will remain in their private gallery unless they edit it and make it public. Only Latigo users that have been select shared this content can view it. Users that have been select shared content will get an alert with a link to this content and it will exist on a Shared Content page. The creator of this content can remove who they select share it to at any time and that will remove the content from the Select Shared page to the other user.

How to Select Share private content with another Latigo user:
  1. Create a private poster or collection
  2. Click Share button in poster or collection edit
  3. Click "Add User(s) to Select Share"
  4. Type in the username(s) you wish to select share content with and click the plus sign. It will then mark a check next to the user which means the private content is now select shared to them.

You do not need to save or update a poster or collection once this has been done.

Once you close out of the screen if you select the "Share" button again it will bring up the username(s) that have been select shared this content.

You may unshare private content from the Select Share list at any time by deleting the username(s) and they will no longer have access to this private content unless you choose to make it public.

How to access Select Shared Content

When another Latigo user Select Shares private content with you it will generate an alert notification letting you know you have been added to a select share list. This alert will contain a link that you can click on to view this content. You may also access this content at any time by clicking the "Shared Content" link button inside the alerts drop down menu which will take you to a page that stores all of the content that has been select shared to you.

Videos- AVI, FLV, MOV, MP4, WMV
Documents- DOC, DOCX, ODT, PDF, PPT, PPTX, RTF, TXT, XLS, XLSX

What kinds of content can a user create?

A user can create a Poster or a Collection that they can share with other Latigo users or share to other social media sites, websites or email.

What are Search Tags used for on Posters and Collections?

Search tags are key words or phrases that you can attach to your Poster or Collection separated by commas if you wish it to be easily searchable in Latigo. We highly recommend if you are creating Posters or Collections to share content with others on the internet or are selling things to utilize our search tag key words to drive other users to your content!

What is a Poster?

A poster is a piece of content a user can create using their images, videos and documents. They can also add design elements such as backgrounds and templates along with tools like YouTube videos and Google Maps. Posters can be edited, copied, shared and deleted very easily.

What is Poster Description Text?

The poster description text is the text outside of the poster that exists underneath the poster title. It is optional text and is a useful quick access point to update relevant information easily without changing anything in a poster. This description text exists when you "Click to Create New Content" and select "Poster". It is the box titled "Add your description text (optional)". It can also be accessed on the Settings tab in poster edit mode.

How to change the size of a Poster
There are currently 2 ways to change the size of a poster:
  1. Settings Tab- In the top left hand corner of a poster in edit mode there is a settings tab. You can manually insert the width and height of the poster and click enter to apply the change.
  2. Drag by mouse- In the bottom right hand corner of the poster is a small black arrow. Click and drag that arrow to change the width and height of the poster.
What are Internal Notes and where can they be found?

Internal notes are private notes for the creator of the poster and can be found in the settings tab. They are a good placeholder for users to make notes or attach any important information to the poster that is never made public anywhere and only they can see.

How to Copy an existing Poster

If you want to copy an existing poster to edit and change all you have to do is hover your mouse over the poster you wish to duplicate in your dashboard and select "Make Copy". You will be provided with a screen to name your new poster which is required before making a new copy. We suggest you name the new poster something different than the current poster since it will be an identical copy so you can tell the two apart. Once you name the new poster select the "Make Copy" button and it will copy the new poster with the new name you selected onto your dashboard. You can then click to edit that poster and change anything within it such as the privacy settings, text, images, etc.

Why did Latigo focus on the current Templates available?

Right now we are only in Beta mode and have a limited number of stock templates available. The templates we currently have available are based on some of the target users we are initially marketing too. We will be working hard moving forward to give users a large selection of stock templates they can use.

Why did the Template tab disappear when a poster has been saved or is edited?

Once you save a poster or go back in to edit a poster you have essentially created your own "template"! Therefore, the template tab disappears since you now have your own work saved on a poster. If you would like access to the template tab again it requires you to create a new poster.

How to layer objects or text on top of other objects in Posters

When you select an object or text, a main tool bar will appear with an up and down arrow inside of a box. The down arrow layers the selected object to the back and the up arrow layers the selected object to the front.

How to add Links in Posters
  1. Insert text on your poster
  2. Select by highlighting the individual words or phrases you would like to make a link
  3. In the text tool bar to the left of font is a "link" icon.
  4. Select that link icon and paste in the url you would like that text to link to

If you would like the link to be an E-mail select the "E-mail" option from the drop down menu under Link Type instead of URL.

How to keep pictures and videos in the same proportion when resizing them

If you would like to keep a picture or video on your poster in the same proportion when you are resizing them just hold down the "shift" key then drag the image or video larger or smaller and it will remain in the same proportion.

What is a Collection?

A Collection is an album that can contain images, videos and documents.

You will be charged the monthly rate for the amount of storage space you select. The monthly plans are based on 30 day intervals and you will be charged the current rate for the plan you select 30 days out from purchasing this plan on a monthly recurring basis.

6 Month Plan

You can select a 6 month plan for a discounted rate and your account will be granted that amount of storage space for the next 6 months without any additional payments for that plan during the 6 month period of time. At the expiration of the 6 months your account will automatically revert to a monthly plan for that amount of storage space at the current monthly rate. Prorated Base Calculations Overview

Prorated amounts for upgrades are calculated based on the current plan rate, the new plan rate and the number of days on the current plan. The prorated amount will be applied and shown on the order summary page when you upgrade if it is applicable.

If you fail to pay an outstanding balance, you will become inactive and will be required to complete payment when attempting to login through a paywall screen in order to access your account. Content on inactive accounts will become inactive after sixty (60) days. The Company may host this inactive content for a period of time allowing you to complete payment and restore access to your content.
